Five days of wine, live music and lakeside atmosphere: the Musikalisches Weinfest in Munich’s Westpark opens from Thursday 21 to Monday 25 May 2026 directly at the Seebühne – with 21 quality wines from Germany and Austria, 10 live bands and free admission.

The Musikalisches Weinfest at the Seebühne im Westpark has been a Munich Whitsun tradition for over ten years: for five days this open-air event brings together fine wines from three family-run wineries from the Palatinate, Franconia and the Austrian Weinviertel with a varied live music programme – free of charge, under open skies, in one of the most beautiful park settings in the city. Thursday and Friday from 17:00, Saturday through Monday already from 14:00, closing each day at 23:00.

The Music Programme 2026 – Day by Day

Across the five festival days a total of 10 live acts take the Seebühne stage. The programme ranges from Austro-pop and salsa through jazz and soul to rhythm & blues and dance music.

Thursday 21 May – Austria Project Pur

Austria Project Pur opens the festival with an acoustic set celebrating the best of Austro-pop. The band brings the greatest hits of the Austrian music scene to the lakeside stage – the perfect warm-up for the long Whitsun weekend.

Friday 22 May – Ritmo Jackson

Ritmo Jackson heats up the second evening with salsa and Latin grooves. The salsa orquestra gets the dance floor going right by the lake – anyone feeling the urge to dance is very welcome.

Saturday 23 May – RolliGang, MadButFine & Happy Pack

Saturday is the busiest day with three bands on the bill:

• RolliGang – music that moves hearts and souls
• MadButFine – acoustic covers across all genres
• Happy Pack – rhythm and blues in the spirit of Tina Turner & Elvis

Sunday 24 May – LiaB & Quattro Amici

• LiaB – Lost in a Bar – jazz, soul and Bavarian gypsy music: an unusual and captivating combination
• Quattro Amici – “La Notte Italiana”: Italian classics and evergreens with a Mediterranean flair

Monday 25 May – Max Hauer & Seven Heaven

• Max Hauer – ballads, evergreens and current hits
• Seven Heaven – party and dance music to close out the long weekend

The Wines: Three Wineries from Three Regions

The wine festival puts quality over quantity: three carefully selected, family-run wineries present a total of 21 quality wines – and are on hand in person to answer questions, offer recommendations and run tastings.

Weingut Winkelmann – Palatinate

Weingut Winkelmann from the Palatinate is a long-standing festival partner, known for fruity, characterful wines from the southern Weinstraße – from crisp whites to robust reds.

Weingut Sailer – Weinviertel, Austria

Weingut Sailer from the Lower Austrian Weinviertel brings Austrian wine culture to the Munich lakeside stage. The Weinviertel is known for its distinctive Grüner Veltliner – dry, peppery and elegant.

Weingut Höfling – Franconia

Weingut Höfling from Franconia completes the trio with characteristically Franconian wines in the traditional Bocksbeutel flask – Silvaner, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau from one of Bavaria’s most historic wine regions.

The Westpark and the Seebühne

The Seebühne im Westpark is one of Munich’s finest open-air venues. The Westpark was created for the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) in 1983 to a design by landscape architect Peter Kluska – from brownfield land and an old gravel pit a valley landscape was created with lakes, hills and meadow edges, deliberately modelled on the Bavarian Alpine foothills.

Today the Westpark is one of the city’s most visited green spaces alongside the English Garden. The Seebühne sits directly on the water, surrounded by mature trees and lush green lawns – a setting that is hard to beat.

Food and Practical Notes

Food is available on site alongside the wine. Since the festival is funded solely through the sale of food and drinks, the organiser explicitly asks visitors not to bring their own food or beverages.
